A tiny chip in the girdle of the diamond can be a result from a hard blow or cutting. Large chips can affect the overall diamond carat weight . Diamonds with a high clarity grade may have a small chip or nick that may be hard to find under 10X magnification . DoW does not sell significantly chipped or nicked diamonds that have an impact on the diamond’s overall brilliance or quality.
