The shape of a fancy-color diamond can affect the intensity and evenness of color. Certain shapes are rare and extremely difficult to find in a fancy-color diamond, while other shapes are much more abundant in almost any color.
Some of the most common fancy-colored diamond shapes are Round Brilliant , Radiant , Princess , and Cushion. These diamond shapes all maximize brilliance and color balance in fancy-colored diamonds. Whereas, Emerald cut diamonds are harder to find, since any unevenness can easily be seen.
