EGL- European Gemological Laboratory:
The European Gemological Laboratory or EGL Diamond Certificate is records and documents key diamond characteristics and is signed by certified gemologist.

What your EGL diamond report covers:

 

Weight: Weight of diamond listed to the nearest hundredth of a carat.

Shape & Measurements: The diamond shape and measurements in millimeters.

Proportions: The diamonds depth, width, crown height, pavilion, and girdle thickness.

Measurement: The diamond dimensions in millimeters.

Finish: Grades of polish, symmetry and culet.

Clarity: Clarity grade determined under 10x magnification.

Color: Grade of color.

Fluorescence: Color, and strength of color when diamond is viewed under UV light.

Comments: Description of additional diamond characteristics not mentioned in the report.

Clarity Plot: A map of the approximate size, type, and position of inclusions as viewed under a microscope.
