Grain Lines:

Grain lines or growth lines are fine lines or ripples caused by irregular crystallization. They are also referred to as twinning lines. Sometimes diamonds look hazy when these lines are present. White, colored or reflective graining can affect the clarity grade. Colorless graining does not normally lower the clarity grade of a diamond, but can sometimes affect the transparency and brilliance of a diamond. These attributes are not included on diamond grading reports. DoW does not sell diamonds with significant graining that have an impact on the diamonds' overall brilliance or quality.
