Total carat weight:

Total Carat Weight or TCW refers to combined carat weight of more than one diamond.

Example:
When you purchase a pair of diamond stud earrings, each diamond may weigh .50 ct. for a combined carat weight total of 1 ct. tw.

.50ct.+ .50ct. = 1 carat or 1 ct. tw.
